THIS WEEK:
This week our focus is Dr. Seuss
and Read Across America as we lead up to Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd. We will have a lot of fun as we dive into
some of these silly books. We will read
many books including The Cat in the Hat, Ten Apples Up on Top, Fox in Socks,
Wacky Wednesday, and Green Eggs and Ham. We will work on comprehension, cause and
effect, and complete a description web.
Our high-frequency words this week are: food, ate, full, most, more, and
always. We will also work on
substituting initial phonemes, long i: ie, igh, and kn/n/ and wr/r/. In Math, we are adding and subtracting to
100. Math fact test will be on Thursday
this week – we are subtracting 2.
